Welcome To Refocusing Younger Christians
It is discovered that majority of the Christian youth of this present century have been misinformed about what biblical Christianity is all about. Who is responsible for this? I think the present Christian leaders who have lost touch with the reality (truth) of the word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit are to be held responsible.
The devil knows quite well that if young people are well grounded and rooted in the things of God, they will be threats and instrument of terror to his kingdom. Hence, he is hell-bent on making sure that they are confused about God and the things of God. It is quite evident to see his handwriting on the wall of modern technology, music, fashion e.t.c purposely to derail and capture Christian youth for his own use.
In the book of Ezra, we see the foundation of a new temple being laid because the old temple (built by Solomon) had been destroyed by the enemies of God. This was the result of the sins of God's people who were eventually taken into captivity. The few that returned resolved to build another temple for God. In Ezra 3:10-12, we read that
"When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, the priests stood in their apparel with trumpets. And the Levites with the sons of Asaph, with cymbals to praise the LORD…
And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the LORD… Then all the people shouted with great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid".
That same day something else happened…
"But many of the priests and Levites and heads of the fathers' houses, old men who had seen the first temple, wept with a loud voice when the foundation of this temple was laid before their eyes…"
Why did they weep? They realized that the foundation of the new temple could not be compared to the former one in size, magnificence and glory.
This is the picture of what God has laid on our hearts. The Christian youths of this generation never saw the faith of the fathers and the life they lived for the Lord and His word. Ironically, they are not concerned or interested in reading about it. They do not realize that the standard of God is the same for all generations.
They rejoice and make much noise about the Christianity of today which cannot stand the test of time, let alone the test of eternity.
God has laid this great burden upon our hearts to use all possible means to REFOCUS the thinking of the present generation of Christian youth in all areas of their lives and with whatever resource God places at our disposal.
We began in 2009 and each year we organize a conference for Christian youth from various denominations .The programme is tagged "Christian Youth Summit" .We also publish an annual magazine that goes along with the yearly theme of the conference.
